DAKKUDAKKU

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Sangwoo Jung, an independent developer operating DakkuDakku (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use our website, iOS or Android app, diary editor, community, shop, and related features (the “Service”). The Service is available at dakkudakku.com. Our privacy contact is Sangwoo Jung. For questions or requests, contact [email protected].

2. Information we handle

  • Account information: account identifiers, email address, and basic profile information provided through Google sign-in and, when available, Apple sign-in, plus your DakkuDakku profile name, handle, and profile image if you set them.
  • Diaries and uploads: diary documents, designs, photos, images, and other content you create or upload. If you publish a diary, its published image, description, and associated public profile details are visible to others.
  • Community activity: posts, comments, replies, likes, follows, reports, blocked or hidden items, and related notification and preference settings.
  • Points and shop records: point balances and transaction history, items purchased or used, attendance and eligible reward activity, and invitation attribution needed to prevent duplicate rewards or abuse.
  • Service and device information: browser, app, and device characteristics, app and website usage events, crash reports, diagnostic and security logs, push notification tokens if you enable push notifications, and cookie or local browser storage values used for sign-in, preferences, navigation, and service operation.
  • Mobile permissions and advertising identifiers: photos or images you choose from your photo library or capture with your camera, and mobile advertising identifiers when advertising is enabled. We do not request access to GPS or precise device location.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide and maintain accounts, diaries, uploads, community features, and the shop;
  • show public content, profiles, and community interactions you choose to publish;
  • record points, purchases, rewards, invitations, and prevent duplicate or fraudulent activity;
  • secure the Service, investigate abuse or technical problems, and enforce our Terms; and
  • understand general use of the Service and improve its reliability and design; and
  • deliver, personalize, measure, and protect advertising when advertising is enabled.

4. Analytics and similar technologies

We use Google Analytics on the website and Firebase Analytics in our iOS and Android apps to understand how people use the Service and improve it. We also use Microsoft Clarity on applicable website pages. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies and collect usage, device, and interaction information. Firebase Crashlytics collects app crash and diagnostic information to help us identify and fix technical problems. Your browser may let you control or delete cookies; blocking them may affect some Service features. Google and Microsoft process information under their own privacy terms.

5. Advertising

We do not currently serve ads on the website. Our iOS and Android apps may display ads from Google AdMob. If we enable ads on the website, we expect to use Kakao AdFit initially and may later use Google AdSense. When an ad is requested or displayed, the relevant provider may process your IP address, device or advertising identifiers, and information about ad delivery and interactions. The provider may also use cookies or similar technologies. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on the provider, your settings and choices, and applicable law. Where notice, consent, or device permission is required, we will provide the relevant notice and obtain it before using the advertising technology. You can manage available advertising choices through your device settings and the advertising providers’ controls, including Google Ads Settings. On iOS, if an advertising use involves tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, we will request permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. Declining permission may reduce personalization but does not necessarily remove all ads.

6. When information is shared

We use Google and Apple for sign-in; Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Microsoft Clarity for analytics and diagnostics; Supabase for authentication and database services; and Cloudflare for hosting, file storage, and delivery. The advertising providers described above may also process information when ads are enabled. Service providers process information to provide their services, while advertising providers may process information under their own privacy terms. They may process information in countries other than the one where you live, depending on the service and its infrastructure. We do not request GPS or precise device location; an advertising provider may infer approximate location from an IP address under its own policies.

Content and profile details you make public can be viewed by other users and may be accessible through public links or search engines. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, protect people or the Service, or address fraud and security issues.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and the purposes described in this Policy. Inactive anonymous accounts and their data may be deleted after 90 days without activity. When an anonymous account is transferred to a Google account, the source anonymous account is scheduled for deletion after 7 days; transferred diaries and photos remain with the connected account. A completed transfer record may be kept for 30 days to prevent duplicate transfers and support recovery.

You can request deletion of a connected account in Settings. Account deletion removes the account and associated diaries, posts, comments, reactions, profile, points, purchase records, and uploaded files. It cannot be undone. Data may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is required to address security, prevent abuse, or comply with law. Content transferred to another account is not deleted with the source account.

A privacy-preserving identifier derived from a verified email address may be retained after account deletion to prevent the same address from receiving duplicate invitation rewards. We do not store the original email address in the invitation reward record for this purpose.

8. Your choices and requests

You can edit profile details, change notification and privacy-related settings, make a published diary private, or delete a connected account using the controls available in the Service. You, or your legal representative where applicable, may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing us at the address below. Public content can be copied or shared by others while it is available. If you use the Service without an account, clearing browser data may remove access to your anonymous diaries; we may not be able to restore them.

9. Children’s privacy

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. In Korea, if you are under 14, we will obtain verifiable consent from your legal representative before processing your personal information where required by law. In other countries, a higher age or parent or guardian authorization may be required by local law; those requirements apply to your use of the Service. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required authorization, contact us so we can review and address the request.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service or its data practices change. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date.
